Victor Osimhen has received a major endorsement from Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus, who has placed the Nigerian striker alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland when assessing the most physically and technically powerful forwards inside the penalty area.
Jesus made the comparison while speaking ahead of Portugal’s UEFA Nations League meeting with Norway, with much of the pre-match discussion centred on how his side would deal with the threat posed by Haaland.
Asked about the Norwegian striker, the experienced Portuguese coach offered a detailed assessment of Haaland’s qualities before drawing a direct comparison with Osimhen.
