Brighton & Hove Albion have reached a verbal agreement to sign 18-year-old Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna in a major breakthrough in negotiations with Swedish club AIK.
According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Premier League side have identified the left-footed right winger as a priority target, with talks between both clubs continuing despite interest from other European teams.
Rapid Rise in Sweden
Born in 2007, Yohanna joined AIK in 2025 from Nigeria’s Ikon Allah Football Academy and has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the Allsvenskan.
In the 2026 season, the teenager has recorded 2 goals and multiple assists in just a handful of appearances, with his dribbling ability, direct running, and physical strength earning widespread attention from scouts across Europe.
Big-Money Transfer Taking Shape
The proposed move is expected to cost in the region of €22–23 million, which would set a new record transfer fee involving a player from Swedish football.
