Italian Serie A newcomers Venezia FC have reportedly reached a personal agreement with Nigerian striker Akor Adams and are now negotiating with Sevilla to complete a permanent transfer ahead of the 2026/27 season.
According to respected Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the newly promoted Italian club has already agreed personal terms with the 26-year-old and is now working to reach an agreement with the Spanish side over a transfer fee.

Adams joined Sevilla from French club Montpellier in January 2025 in a deal worth around €5 million and enjoyed an impressive first full season in La Liga. The Super Eagles forward scored 10 goals and registered three assists in 32 appearances, establishing himself as one of Sevilla’s most reliable attacking options. His campaign included crucial match-winning goals against Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona, performances that significantly boosted his reputation across Europe.
Venezia have identified Adams as one of their priority targets as they prepare for life back in Serie A. The club is keen to strengthen its attack with an experienced striker capable of leading the line as it aims to secure survival in Italy’s top flight.

Negotiations between the two clubs are currently focused on the transfer fee. Sevilla are understood to have previously rejected offers below €10 million, valuing the Nigerian international more highly following his productive campaign in Spain. Whether Venezia are prepared to meet the Spanish club’s demands remains the key issue in discussions.
Despite increasing speculation surrounding his future, Adams had previously insisted that his full attention was on pre-season preparations with Sevilla. However, the latest reports suggest a move to Italy is gathering momentum, with personal terms already agreed and club-to-club negotiations continuing.
Should the transfer be completed, it would represent a major signing for Venezia as they look to establish themselves in Serie A, while offering Adams the opportunity to begin a new chapter in another of Europe’s elite leagues. With talks ongoing between the two clubs, further developments are expected in the coming days as both sides work towards reaching a final agreement.
