Nigerian Striker Adam Musa Completes Move to Serbian Side FK Voždovac

3 Min Read

Promising Nigerian forward Adam Musa has officially completed a move to Serbian SuperLiga club FK Voždovac, taking another significant step in his young career after an outstanding season in Serbia’s youth ranks.

The 19-year-old Kano-born striker joins the Dragons following an impressive campaign with FK Mladost Lučani’s U19 side, where he established himself as one of the league’s most prolific goalscorers. Musa found the back of the net 15 times in just 16 appearances in the Serbian U19 League, attracting interest with his clinical finishing, intelligent movement, and eye for goal.

Before continuing his development in Serbia, Musa represented Kano Pillars, one of Nigeria’s most successful football clubs, where he laid the foundation for his move to European football. His rapid rise has seen him emerge as one of the latest Nigerian prospects to earn an opportunity in a competitive European league.

FK Voždovac, renowned for developing young talent and providing opportunities for emerging players, believes Musa has the potential to make a successful transition into senior football. The club is expected to gradually integrate the young striker into its first-team squad as preparations continue for the new Serbian SuperLiga season.

The Nigerian was officially unveiled by the club in promotional photographs, proudly wearing Voždovac’s white-and-red colours while posing inside the stadium and dressing room with a match ball. One of the images featured the message “Adam Musa dobro došao!”, which translates to “Adam Musa, welcome!” in Serbian.

Although neither the club nor the player’s representatives have disclosed the length or financial details of the contract, the signing is viewed as another example of the growing pathway for Nigerian footballers into Eastern Europe. Serbian clubs have increasingly become attractive destinations for young African talents seeking regular competitive football and opportunities to develop before making moves to Europe’s bigger leagues.

With expectations rising following his remarkable goalscoring record at youth level, all eyes will now be on Musa as he prepares for the challenge of senior football. If he can reproduce the form that earned him recognition in the U19 League, the Nigerian striker could quickly establish himself as one of FK Voždovac’s most exciting young attacking talents and continue his impressive rise in European football.
