Rangers International of Enugu will have their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 9 encounter against Bendel Insurance postponed as they turn their attention to their CAF Champions League assignment.
The Flying Antelopes are scheduled to host Algeria’s MC Alger at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium on Sunday, October 18, with kick-off set for 4pm. The continental fixture has necessitated the postponement of their league clash with Bendel Insurance, which was originally scheduled for the same day.
The development means Bendel Insurance will be without a fixture this weekend, with the Benin Arsenals now set to return to action on October 25 when they welcome Rivers United in a Match Day 10 encounter.
Insurance will be eager to respond positively after suffering a 2-1 defeat to Sporting Lagos in Lagos last Sunday. The loss leaves the Benin-based side eighth on the league table with 12 points.
Meanwhile, no new date has been announced for the postponed NPFL fixture between Rangers International and Bendel Insurance.
