Kaduna-based Ikon Allah Football Academy has secured another international transfer, with 20-year-old striker Wellington Oscar Emuwahen completing a permanent move to Tunisian Ligue 1 giants Étoile Sportive du Sahel.
Standing at 1.88 metres, Emuwahen is a physically imposing forward who developed his game at Ikon Allah before earning the opportunity to continue his career abroad.
Étoile du Sahel, one of Tunisia’s most established clubs and a regular participant in continental competitions, officially welcomed the Nigerian striker with a presentation featuring him in the club’s famous red-and-white colours.
The move to Sousse gives Emuwahen an opportunity to gain experience in a competitive professional league while potentially featuring in CAF club competitions with one of Tunisia’s most recognised football institutions.
Another Success for Ikon Allah
The transfer further strengthens Ikon Allah Football Academy’s reputation as an emerging talent-development hub in Nigeria.
The Kaduna-based academy has increasingly become a pathway for young Nigerian footballers seeking professional opportunities abroad, with graduates securing moves to clubs across Europe and Africa.
One of its notable products is Zadok Yohanna, who progressed from the academy to AIK Stockholm before earning a high-profile move to Brighton & Hove Albion earlier in 2026.
Other Ikon Allah graduates have also secured opportunities in countries including Romania, Israel and Sweden, highlighting the academy’s expanding international network.
Emuwahen’s permanent transfer to Étoile du Sahel represents another milestone in that development pathway.
For the young striker, the immediate objective will be to adapt to the demands of professional football, compete for regular playing time and make an impact in Tunisian football.
The move also provides Emuwahen with a platform to showcase his ability on a larger stage and potentially attract further opportunities as his career develops.
With another promising Nigerian prospect now beginning a professional chapter abroad, Ikon Allah Football Academy continues to establish itself as an important pipeline for emerging Nigerian football talent.
