Brighton & Hove Albion are preparing a fresh bid for Millwall winger Femi Azeez as they continue their efforts to strengthen their attacking options before the summer transfer window closes.
The Seagulls have already had two offers rejected by Millwall, including a package worth just over £10 million, but remain determined to secure the 25-year-old Nigeria international. Millwall are understood to value Azeez at around £15 million.
Azeez has emerged as one of the Championship’s standout attacking players following an impressive 2025/26 campaign. The winger scored 11 goals and registered seven assists for Millwall, earning a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season.
His performances also earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles. Azeez made an immediate impact on his Nigeria debut, scoring twice in a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe during the Unity Cup.
Brighton’s interest has intensified partly because of injury problems affecting their wide options, with Kaoru Mitoma and Yankuba Minteh among those sidelined. The Premier League club see Azeez as a player capable of providing additional pace, creativity and goal threat.
Azeez joined Millwall from Reading in August 2024 for a fee reported to be around £1 million. His rapid development since then has significantly increased his market value, while his preference for a move to Brighton could prove important in the negotiations.
Millwall, however, are in a strong bargaining position. The Lions reached the Championship play-offs last season and are reluctant to lose one of their key attacking players unless their valuation is met.
With the transfer deadline approaching, Brighton are expected to continue negotiations and could return with an improved offer in an attempt to close the gap between the two clubs’ valuations.
For Azeez, a move to the Amex Stadium would represent a significant step forward in his career and an opportunity to test himself in the Premier League after establishing himself as one of the Championship’s most effective wide attackers.
Whether Brighton can convince Millwall to lower their demands or meet the £15 million valuation remains to be seen, but the Seagulls’ continued pursuit underlines how highly they rate the Nigerian forward.
