Nigerian winger Bede Amarachi Osuji has completed a move to Slovenian PrvaLiga side NK Aluminij, marking his return to familiar territory after spending the past season in the Indian Super League.
The 30-year-old attacker joins Aluminij from Punjab FC, where he featured in 13 league matches and scored three goals during the 2025/26 campaign. The Slovenian club officially welcomed the Nigerian with a cheerful “SERBUS! OSUJI” announcement, highlighting the player’s long-standing connection with Slovenian football.
Homecoming to Familiar Ground

For Osuji, the transfer represents more than just a new challenge; it is a return to a league where he established himself as one of the most dependable foreign attackers.
The Nigerian began his European career with ND Gorica in 2013 and quickly became a key figure for the club. Across several seasons, he made more than 137 league appearances while scoring 23 goals. During that period, he also enjoyed loan spells with NK Brda and NK Tolmin, gaining valuable experience that helped shape his development.
His impressive performances earned him a move to FC Koper in 2021, where he continued to shine. Over three successful seasons, Osuji registered 19 goals in 81 appearances, further cementing his reputation as a dangerous winger capable of operating across the frontline.
Journey Through Turkey and India
After leaving Koper in 2024, Osuji sought a new challenge with Turkish club Manisa FK before moving to India to join Punjab FC.
Although his stay in the Indian Super League was relatively brief, the Nigerian forward still contributed three goals in 13 league appearances, demonstrating his ability to make an impact whenever called upon.
His latest switch to NK Aluminij signals a return to European football and a competition where he has already enjoyed considerable success.
Experience to Boost Aluminij
Standing at 1.83 metres and blessed with pace, strength, and versatility, Osuji offers Aluminij a proven attacking option capable of playing on either wing or as a central forward.

His extensive knowledge of Slovenian football is expected to ease his transition as Aluminij prepares for the 2026/27 PrvaLiga season. Having already built a strong reputation within the league, Osuji will be hoping to hit the ground running and provide valuable experience to his new teammates.
A Fresh European Opportunity
The move is widely viewed as an important step in Osuji’s career as he returns to one of the leagues where he has consistently produced his best football.
While comparisons may be drawn between the financial rewards of the Indian Super League and the Slovenian PrvaLiga, the opportunity for regular football in a familiar environment could prove invaluable for the Nigerian.
With pre-season preparations underway, supporters will be eager to see whether the experienced winger can rediscover the form that made him a fan favourite during his previous spell in Slovenia.
For Osuji, the homecoming presents another opportunity to write a successful chapter in a country where he has already left a lasting impression.
