The President of Real Sociedad, Joking Aperribay, has extolled Sadiq Umar following his sensational performance, noting the Nigerian forward may now have a future with Los Ches.
Sadiq struggled for regular minutes at Real Sociedad but now seems to have a glorious twist after switching to Valencia during the winter transfer window.

Sadiq has six goals to his name in 15 games across all competitions, keeping scintillating form and making Valencia recognisable in the Spanish league
The striker’s soaring and profound impact on the club has put pressure on Valencia to retain him indefinitely. Speaking on the development, Aperribay said Valencia reserves the discretion to decide.
Valencia coach Carlos Corberan has also lauded Sadiq while expressing confidence in the forward’s mental capacity to resurge after challenging moments.
“I think that Sadiq today exemplifies what the game was like. A game with mistakes at times. And with the mentality to recover from those situations that he had. A game of not losing faith, of assistance, until achieving the objective”, he said.
Meanwhile, Sadiq has been recalled to the Super Eagles but was not featured in the matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
It is hoped that Sadiq will earn a second chance to show himself strong in the international arena as Nigeria braces up for the Unity Cup in London this May and the resumption of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
