In a landmark press briefing held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the Sani Abacha Conference Room, the management of Kano Pillars Football Club welcomed members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kano State Chapter, to discuss the club’s preparations ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The focal point of the event was the address delivered by the newly appointed General Manager, Ambassador Ahmed Musa, MON, OON. In his speech, Musa unveiled a bold and comprehensive roadmap aimed at restoring Kano Pillars to its former glory and repositioning the club as a globally recognized football brand.
Standing beside Club Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Muhammad Umar Nayara (Alinayara), Musa outlined a strategic blueprint anchored on five key pillars: infrastructure development, player welfare, technical support, discipline, and global branding.
“The journey ahead will be challenging, but not impossible,” Musa stated. “With unity, dedication, and the support of all stakeholders, we will elevate Kano Pillars to new heights.”
He emphasized that the club’s revival hinges on a collective commitment from the management, coaching staff, players, fans, and government, while instituting a firm zero-tolerance stance on indiscipline.
“Players are the true ambassadors of our club,” he added. “Ensuring their motivation and well-being is central to achieving our objectives.”
Musa also acknowledged the pivotal role of the technical crew, affirming that the Head Coach would receive full backing to deliver results on the pitch.
“While I manage operations from the office, the Coach leads on the field. He will have our full technical and structural support,” he affirmed.
Expressing his appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Abba Kabir Yusuf, for the confidence reposed in him, Musa pledged to work tirelessly in delivering impactful results both on and off the pitch.
“Insha’Allah, we will bring back the glory days of Sai Masu Gida,” he assured.
To bolster community engagement, Musa announced the introduction of new initiatives, including the recruitment of Kano Pillars fans as stadium stewards. These individuals will play key roles in matchday operations, including crowd control, safety monitoring, and spectator assistance.
He further called on private investors, corporate sponsors, and the wider fanbase to join hands in the club’s renaissance, revealing that a series of innovations will soon be rolled out to align the club with international standards in club management and branding.
In closing, Musa extended gratitude to the loyal fans and media professionals for their consistent support, expressing optimism for a successful NPFL 2025/26 season and a new era of excellence for Kano Pillars FC.
