The Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of a new management board for Kano Pillars Football Club, as part of efforts to strengthen the team and enhance its performance in the upcoming Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The governor also approved the appointment of renowned international footballer Ahmed Musa as the new General Manager of the club.
The newly appointed management board consists of 17 members, including Ali Muhammad Umar (Nayara) as Chairman, and other notable individuals. The board’s reconstitution aims to leverage their experience and leadership to reposition the club as a formidable contender in the league.
The government expressed confidence that the new board, under Ahmed Musa’s leadership as General Manager, will consolidate on the team’s achievements and deliver improved results in the forthcoming season. The appointments follow several consultative meetings with key stakeholders and strategic adjustments aimed at boosting performance.
With Ahmed Musa at the helm, Kano Pillars FC is expected to make a strong comeback in the NPFL, building on the progress made by the previous board, which successfully led the team to finish 9th on the NPFL table.
