Dream Stars Football Club |
As a grass root club, Dream Stars Sports is setting the pace for football development and management in Lagos state. Unveiling about 20 female football players of the club at the Onikan Stadium, the club is ready to demonstrate leadership in terms of organization and coordination.
Speaking to Journalists on the occasion, the Chairman of the Club Abdul Rahmon Abolore said: “we have the mandate to distinguish ourselves from other grassroot club by showing them how a football club should be administered.”
“Our intention coming into female football setting is to address some challenges facing women football in the country “.
On her part, the secretary of the club Mrs Oladoja Airat said: ” all hands must be on deck to bring a new dawn into female football in Nigeria. Dream Stars Sports Development Club is saddled with the responsibilities to promote professionalism, sportsmanship and women football”.
The club appoints Akanni Ashake as the female Captain and to be assisted by Adeojo Motunrayo 1st Vice captain and Bright as 2nd Vice Captain.

Addressing the players, Abolore charged the ladies to be responsible, decent and to stay focused. He said:” you need to shun any act of immortality and indecency. The need for you to showcase your talent and be at your best should be paramount”.
Dream Stars Ladies are registered to feature in the EkoFootball Women Championship as part of their preparation for the 2017 women league.
