Technical Adviser of Remo Stars Football Club, Fatai Osho has indicated that his boys lack of concentration cost his boys to lose the game against Niger Tornadoes. Peter Momoh strike was all Niger Tornadoes needed to do the double against Remo Stars Football Club in one of Match Day 27 game in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Speaking with the media after the match, Osho says the boys played their best but it wasn’t enough to get something out of Lokoja. “We gave our best in the cause of the game but we lost that game because of the players pure lost of concentration, you don’t leave your opponent free inside the box, you will get punished and that was what happened.”

“I keep telling people that no matter what, we are going to play till the last day of the league but I know whatever happens till the end of the league will be a great lesson to us in Remo Stars FC.”

“We can still beat the drop, we have eleven matches to go and we can’t rule ourselves out at this stage but the only thing I can say is that we are presently facing a lot which I can’t divulge publicly because I will get punished for it, those who have been monitoring our previous matches knows we face a lot and we don’t deserve where we are on the log with the way we are playing.” Osho disclosed.

Before half time, the host had a chance of going ahead through Wilfred Ammeh’s cross to Babawo Ibrahim and he nod but his attempt hit the woodwork. Peter Momoh came off the bench to make it count for his side after he calmly slot in from Babawo Ibrahim close range cross and Ndukwe Chizoba was left napping for the Sky Blue Stars.

The introduction of Ekene Awazie paved way for multiple chances for the Sky Blue Stars, he got passes from Ochowechi Salefu and Ganda Samuel but his attempts went wide and the referee adjourned him to be in an offside position on his second attempt. In the closing minutes of the game, Ekene Awazie made a good run with the ball to locate Dufegha Eric who couldn’t meet at first attempt.

Wakilu Musa should have wrapped the game up for the host in the last minute of the game but he anxiously played wide to leave the scoreline 1-0 in their favour.

Meanwhile, the Coach of Niger Tornadoes, Abubakar Bala says he knew the game was going to be highly tactical and difficult for his wards because he is playing against Fatai Osho.
“Fatai Osho is a very tactical coach, I know he his a tactical coach. I knew the game was going to be highly tactical and difficult. That’s why we had to come in from the bench to get the winning goal.” Bala explained.
