Nigerian youth side Beyond Limits Football Academy (BLFA) have successfully defended their U17 Gothia Cup title, producing another outstanding campaign to emerge champions of the prestigious international youth tournament in Sweden.
The Remo Stars-affiliated academy completed the 2026 Gothia Cup unbeaten, winning the title for the second consecutive year after an impressive run that saw them play six matches, score 20 goals, and concede just one.
Beyond Limits announced their intentions early in the tournament with a disciplined 1-0 victory over Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas, before edging Ghana’s renowned Right to Dream Academy 2-1 in another high-quality contest.
The Nigerian youngsters then turned on the style, dismantling Swedish side Brommapojkarna 7-0 before recording another commanding 3-0 victory over IFK Göteborg.
Their most emphatic performance came against India’s Sudeva Delhi FC, whom they brushed aside 7-0 in a breathtaking attacking display that further underlined their superiority.
The campaign concluded with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Austria’s Cantalão AD, a result that was enough to seal the championship and complete another memorable tournament without tasting defeat.
