Promising Nigerian right-back Kelechi Nnamdi has completed a permanent move to the reserve side of Austrian Bundesliga champions SK Sturm Graz, with the club confirming his arrival on July 6, 2026.
The 20-year-old defender joins SK Sturm Graz II, popularly known as the Young Blackies, from First Vienna FC, where he impressed with a string of consistent performances in Austria’s second division.
During the 2025/26 campaign, Nnamdi made 22 appearances in the Austrian 2. Liga, earning praise for his defensive discipline, attacking support down the right flank, and overall maturity despite his young age.
Born in Vienna, Austria, on March 22, 2006, Nnamdi holds Austrian citizenship but is of Nigerian heritage. His football journey began in the prestigious youth academies of SK Rapid Wien and FC Red Bull Salzburg, two clubs renowned for developing elite talent, before progressing into senior football with First Vienna FC.
His move to Sturm Graz represents another important milestone in his development.
