The final standings would then be determined by goal difference and goals scored within those head-to-head encounters, a scenario that could potentially see the Super Falcons eliminated despite beating Egypt.
Outside of that unlikely permutation, a Nigerian victory guarantees progression to the knockout stage.
Should Nigeria draw with Egypt, the Super Falcons would need Zambia to fail to beat Malawi in order to qualify.
A defeat to Egypt, meanwhile, would end Nigeria’s WAFCON campaign at the group stage.
