The Golden Eaglets have wrapped up their preparatory friendly matches ahead of the upcoming WAFU-B U17 Boys Tournament, finishing with a win and a draw in their final two contests.
On Friday, the five-time world champions secured a 2-0 victory over Darazo Football Academy of Bauchi. After a tightly contested first half, the Golden Eaglets’ quality shone through in the second, as they netted two superb goals to seal the win.
The team’s final friendly match, played on Saturday against Gombe’s U17 team, ended in a stalemate. The game was played in difficult, rainy conditions, which seemed to level the playing field.
These two results bring the Golden Eaglets’ friendly match record to nine wins, one draw, and one loss in 11 total games as they finalize their preparations for the tournament.
