​The Gateway City (Abeokuta) is gearing up to host a major spectacle of Nigerian football talent as top European scouts and FIFA-licensed agents descend upon the city from November 18 to 20, 2025, for the highly-anticipated ASM International Football Tournament.

This high-profile scouting program is specifically designed to uncover and launch the careers of the next generation of Nigerian football stars, providing a direct and tangible pathway to professional opportunities on the international stage.

​The tournament is the brainchild of a respected international trio, leveraging their global expertise to bridge the gap between Nigerian talent and European clubs: Victor Ogunsanya based in United States of America, ​Andrew Uwe is based in Germany and ​Ayo Adeniran is from Austria.

​These organizers share a mission to identify and nurture future stars capable of making the leap to Europe, echoing the inspiring journeys of current Super Eagles forwards Victor Osimhen and Victor Boniface, both of whom transitioned from local academies to international stardom. The tournament is a testament to the belief in Nigeria’s abundant football talent, providing a structured, high-visibility platform for exposure.

​The scouting program has attracted significant attention from international football circles, confirming the attendance of scouts from several European nations and the United States, confirmed international representation includes but not limited to Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovenia and

​The competition will feature some of Nigeria’s elite football clubs and academies known for their commitment to youth development. Participating clubs confirmed for the showcase include: Box 2 Box FC, ​36 Lion FC, ​SGFC Athletics Sports Club and Magic Stars.

​The three days football showcase will be hosted entirely at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta, is structured to ensure maximum evaluation time for the scouts and competitive pressure for the selected players at the tournament.

​The program will kick – off with an intensive pre-scouting screening, Six combined squads, comprising a total of 60 players drawn from 14 different clubs, The primary objectives and goal of this initial screening is to filter the large talent pool. Only 24 standout players will be selected to advance to the next round of competitive fixtures.
