Ranchers Bees have confirmed the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano as their new home ground for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season, bringing an early change to the club’s home arrangements.
The Kaduna-based side had initially adopted the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina as their home venue after securing promotion to the NPFL. However, the club has now decided to move its home matches to Kano, citing what it described as “uncontrollable circumstances”.
The decision means Ranchers Bees will now play their home fixtures at one of the most recognised football venues in northern Nigeria as they continue their first campaign back in the top flight.
The club announced the move on its social media platforms, thanking supporters in Katsina for their hospitality while also welcoming the people of Kano ahead of the next phase of the season.
“Kanawa, we’re staying! Our next home game will be played in Kano,” the club announced, while expressing appreciation to Katsina for its hospitality.
Changing a home venue just a few matches into a league season is not an ordinary decision for any football club.
Home advantage can play an important role in a league campaign, particularly for a newly promoted team trying to establish itself among more experienced NPFL sides.
