Wilfred Ndidi was in action for Beşiktaş J.K. as the Turkish giants played out a 0-0 draw against Hungarian side Credobus Mosonmagyaróvári TE in a pre-season friendly at Wittmann Antal Park on Sunday.
The Super Eagles captain started the encounter and delivered a solid midfield display, featuring prominently throughout the match as Beşiktaş continued preparations for the 2026/27 campaign. Ndidi showcased the qualities that have defined his career, combining aggressive ball-winning with composed distribution while helping control the tempo in midfield.

Throughout the contest, the 29-year-old was heavily involved in linking play, driving forward with possession, and contesting several key duels as the Turkish side looked to break down a disciplined Hungarian defence. Although neither side could find the breakthrough, the match provided valuable minutes for players building match fitness ahead of the new season.
The friendly forms part of Beşiktaş’ pre-season programme as the club continues to fine-tune its squad and tactical approach before the start of the Turkish Süper Lig season. While the result was secondary, the coaching staff will be encouraged by the opportunity to assess players under competitive conditions.
Ndidi has quickly become an important figure since joining Beşiktaş from Leicester City F.C. in August 2025 on a deal reportedly worth between €8 million and €9.5 million. The Nigerian international signed a contract running until 2028 and has established himself as one of the club’s most reliable performers despite recent speculation surrounding possible squad changes.
As captain of the Nigeria national football team, Ndidi will be eager to maintain his high standards throughout pre-season, using the upcoming friendlies to build momentum ahead of what promises to be another demanding campaign at both the club and international levels.
Beşiktaş are expected to continue their preparations with additional pre-season fixtures in the coming weeks as they gear up for the start of competitive action, with Ndidi likely to play a central role in the club’s ambitions for the 2026/27 season.
