Portuguese Primeira Liga side Sporting Braga have officially completed the signing of highly rated Nigerian defender Adebisi Timileyin Olamikun from Inter Lagos, with both clubs confirming the transfer on Sunday.
The 18-year-old centre-back joins the Portuguese outfit on a long-term contract after an impressive rise through Nigeria’s domestic football ranks. Standing at 1.88 metres and naturally left-footed, Olamikun is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most promising young defensive prospects.
Born on October 21, 2007, Olamikun first made a name for himself as captain of Ilaji FC in Ibadan before earning a move to Inter Lagos, where he played a pivotal role in the club’s historic promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
According to reports, Braga secured the defender’s signature for a transfer fee of approximately €50,000, a deal that reflects the Portuguese club’s long-standing strategy of identifying and investing in emerging African talent at an early stage of their careers.
