WorldCup: Flamingos Visit Orphanage, Complete Final Training Ahead of U-17 Women’s World Cup

Ahead of their departure for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, Nigeria’s U-17 women’s national team, the Flamingos, made a heartwarming visit to Nana Berry Orphanage & Children’s Home in Nyanya, Karu LGA, Nasarawa State.

The visit, led by team captain Shakirat Moshood and a select group of teammates, was an opportunity for the players to share gifts, love, and encouragement with the children, spreading positivity and goodwill ahead of their tournament campaign.

Earlier in the day, the Flamingos wrapped up their final training session at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja. The session focused on intense physical drills and recovery routines as the team made its final preparations for the competition.

The team will depart Nigeria early Wednesday morning, taking a Royal Air Maroc flight to Casablanca, where they are expected to arrive at 9 a.m. local time.

As they head to Morocco, the Flamingos will be using the official hashtags #FIFAU17WWC and #SoarFlamingos to share their journey and rally support from fans.
