Speaking during a training session, head of Edo Queens technical crew Moses Aduku, said he is gradually building a formidable team for the new season.
Is no longer news that we lost the NWFL premiership title during the Super Six in Ikenne. However, we must forge ahead. We are gradually building up for the new season, and we must begin preparations on time. We have gotten some good legs to beef up our team. Part of the preparations for the new season is playing pre-season games to test our players and their readiness for the coming season.”
“We would try as much as possible to play more Grade club friendlies to keep our players in shape. Edo Queens is a household name in the annals of the Nigeria Women’s Football League, NWFL. We needed to start off early so we can meet up with the challenges ahead.”
On the recruitment of new players, he said: “We are trying our best, almost all clubs in NWFL are in the market for new players.”
“For now, we won’t disclose the names of our new signings until all of them have finally put pen to paper. But I promise you that we are preparing for the new season. We will host Sunshine Queens FC tomorrow and also go to Akure for the return leg on Wednesday next week. We have also lined up other friendlies for Edo Queens as build-up games.
