The management and players of Sunshine Queens Football Club, Ondo State, heartily congratulate the Super Falcons of Nigeria on their thrilling victory at the 2025 African Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON), where the team triumphed 3–2 over host nation Morocco in a pulsating final.
The dramatic comeback by the Falcons exemplifies the unyielding Nigerian spirit of resilience, fearlessness, and doggedness.
It is a victory that not only brings glory to the nation but also rekindles hope and inspiration for women’s football across the country.
Sunshine Queens FC firmly believes that this historic win would further elevate the profile of female football in Nigeria, with more support, and solidify our continued dominance on the African continent.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Nigeria sports commission (NSC) , the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), other stakeholders, and special appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for their unwavering moral support throughout the tournament.
