Executive Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Desmond Amadin Enabulele, has commended Edo Queens FC for their resilience in the just concluded Nigeria Women Football League NWFL Super six championship.
He stated this while addressing the players after their all-time classic, thrilling goalless game against Nasarawa Amazons.
According to him, “I want to thank you all for your determination and resilience. We have all watched the game, I commend you all for coming out strong and determined in this competition. Though we lost the trophy but you all did very well. Is a tough match, no doubt, and you all did your best.”
“Coach Aduku, we are not throwing blame on anyone, we won it last season, it is football, you can’t win all, so let’s take it in good faith. We would all go back to our board and strategize, see what
can be done to come out with more experienced players for next season. Good game, girls.”
Recalled that Edo Queens won the Super Six last season and represented Nigeria at the CAF level.
