The 2025 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six is poised for a dramatic and historic conclusion.
In an unprecedented scenario, four teams—Nasarawa Amazons, Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, and Remo Stars Ladies—enter the final day with a realistic chance of lifting the league title, making this one of the most closely contested finishes in NWFL Premiership history.

According to NWFL Chief Operating Officer Modupe Shabi, “It’s important to protect the integrity of the competition. With four teams still in contention, simultaneous kick-off ensures fairness and keeps the excitement alive. Nasarawa Amazons currently lead the standings with eight points and will face Edo Queens, who sit just one point behind, in a high-stakes clash at the Main Bowl.
A win for either side guarantees the championship, while a draw could open the door for other contenders depending on goal difference and goals scored.
On Pitch 4, Bayelsa Queens will look to take advantage of any slip-ups when they face bottom-placed Naija Ratels, who have yet to earn a point. A big win could propel Bayelsa to the top if results elsewhere go in their favor.
