Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo has offered an update on the injury of Nigerian defender Ola Aina, following his early exit during Tuesday’s match against Manchester United.
Aina was forced off the field just before halftime, raising concerns about the severity of the injury.
Espirito Santo acknowledged the worry but stressed the importance of waiting for the results of a scan to determine the full extent of the damage.
“We have to assess the situation.
“It’s always worrying when a player gets injured on his own, so we’ll conduct a scan and see the extent of the injury,” the manager said.
Aina, who has featured in 30 matches for Forest this season, remains doubtful for the team’s upcoming weekend clash against Aston Villa.
