Barcelona have reportedly identified Atalanta and Nigeria star Ademola Lookman as a potential signing ahead of the summer transfer window. However, the Blaugrana are also weighing up other attacking options, including Nico Williams, Rafael Leao, and Luis Diaz.
According to Mundo Deportivo and Corriere dello Sport, Lookman has emerged as a feasible target, given that he will enter the final year of his contract with Atalanta in the summer. The reigning African Player of the Year had previously been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but Atalanta held out for a €40 million fee last summer. Now, reports suggest the Serie A side could lower their asking price to around €30 million.
Despite this, Lookman is not the only name on Barcelona’s shortlist. Athletic Club’s Nico Williams remains a priority, though negotiations could be tricky given past transfer disagreements. AC Milan’s Rafael Leao is another option, especially amid uncertainty at San Siro, while Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has also been linked.
With financial constraints still a factor for Barcelona, their summer business will likely depend on departures and budget flexibility. Lookman’s versatility and strong performances for Atalanta and Nigeria could make him an attractive option should the club opt for a cost-effective signing.
