Day two of the Evolution Cup Pan African Tournament was filled with excitement, as 11 goals were scored across three thrilling matches. Two draws and one win were recorded, with Green Lock FC being the only team to secure a victory.
Mallam FA Forces F8ballers Africa to a Thrilling Draw
In the first match of the day, Mallam Football Academy forced F8ballers Africa to a 2-2 draw in an explosive encounter. Captain Sunday Destiny opened the scoring for Mallam FA in the 16th minute, and they went into the break with the lead. However, Shola Solomon equalized for F8ballers Africa three minutes into the second half.
Gideon Joshua scored what seemed like the winner with three minutes left on the clock, but Sunday Destiny converted a penalty kick in the 87th minute to force a draw.
Sunday Destiny’s impressive performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
Bolapro Sporting and Pro Sports FC Share the Spoils
In another thrilling encounter, Bolapro Sporting and Pro Sports FC played out a 2-2 draw. Abdulrazaq Ridwan opened the scoring for Bolapro Sporting in the 15th minute, Pro Sports FC fought back with goals from Okoro Innocent in the 50th minute and Darlington Sam in the 55th minute while Ogundare Moses second a late equaliser to force a draw.
Green Lock FC Secures Second Win
Green Lock FC came from behind to beat La Planet FC 2-1, recording their second win of the tournament. Majeed had given La Planet the lead with just three minutes into the game. However, Captain Damilola Adeyeye equalized in the 11th minute, and Samuel Daniel scored the winner seven minutes after the restart.
