Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) plays against Rivers United in a rescheduled Match Day 14 fixture of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The Sky Blue Stars lost 1-0 to Enyimba FC in Calabar and are prepared to fashion out a result against the Pride of Rivers on Wednesday in Porthacourt.
Rivers United also lost 1-0 to Nasarawa United in a rescheduled Match Day 19 of the NPFL that went down on Sunday in Lafia. Fatai Osho’s men are in dire need of results as they currently sit at the bottom of the league table.
The Pride of Rivers who are currently 17th on the table with 21points will fancy their chances against the Sky Blue Stars to move some places up the table. The game between Rivers United and Remo Stars will be the first time both teams will meet in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Speaking with RSFC Media, Captain of the Club, Victor Mbaoma says he and his teammates are optimistic getting a result against Rivers United in Porthacourt. “We are optimistic getting a result against Rivers United because we are out to play and our mission at the end of the game will be fulfilled.” Mbaoma disclosed
