The ASL Golden Gloves Of the Month Award Winner Joel Isyaq
is ready for a call up to the Nigerian Super Eagles with his outstanding and
excellent performance in the American Soccer League, his sharp reflex and vital
saves has earn his team SGFC Eagles to maintain 100% winning streak to the
start of the American soccer league claiming 9points out of possible 9.


Speaking with one of our Correspondent from his base in the
US, Joel Isyaq the 6”2ft tall goalkeeper said” I am really delighted that my
team is doing well in the league and this is because of the understanding and
unity among my colleagues, and also the philosophy of football which our
coaches have introduced us to and it is the Tiki Taka kind of football,
retaining possession and gaining back possession, this has really helped us
greatly and we hope to do more and not be complacent.


Joel” also enthused that he started playing at the tender
age of 8yrs way back in Nigeria and that he has being his utmost desire is to
represent and where the green white jersey and he believes the time has come
now and hope the present coach of the Nigeria Super Eagles “Gernot Rohr”
extends an invitation to him because he is ripe and ready for the super eagles, i am not scared of any challenge, all my life has being competitive and i love new opportunities and I believe my size and height is really a big factor and great advantage for
me and the team.


My ambition and target is to play in a more recognized league,
maybe Europe, (spain, France or England) so I can actually showcase and display
my full potentials and I believe that will happen soon because I keep improving
everyday and I will also appreciate the effort of all my coaches, most especially
coach Richard Opanuga he has really being a father and a friend he never for
once discouraged or neglect you, I believe this will really help me in the
future as a professional goalkeeper says the dark skin tall goalkeeper. 


SGFC Eagles have played 3games in the league and still remain unbeaten and Joel Isyaq confirmed to us that they will continue the winning formula this weekend when they face MASS United, he said SGFC Eagles are like wounded Lions and they are ready to devour any team as their intention is to gain promotion to the Elite League in America.
