Galatasaray have made their position clear, Victor Osimhen is not for sale, despite renewed interest from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal.
The Turkish champions have reportedly rejected the prospect of selling their star striker to Al Hilal, who are exploring options in attack as they prepare for life beyond former Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema.
According to transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, Galatasaray received an enquiry from the Saudi club but quickly made it known that they have no intention of parting ways with Osimhen this summer.
The latest approach adds another chapter to the growing transfer speculation surrounding the Nigeria international, whose performances since arriving in Turkey have made him one of the most sought-after forwards in European football.
Osimhen remains central to Galatasaray’s plans
Osimhen has been instrumental in Galatasaray’s success since his move from Napoli, producing remarkable numbers in front of goal.
The 27-year-old has recorded 59 goals and 16 assists in 74 appearances across all competitions, underlining the influence he has had since joining the Turkish champions.
His goalscoring form has naturally attracted interest from clubs outside Turkey, but Galatasaray appear unwilling to even entertain the possibility of losing their attacking talisman.
Al Hilal’s interest is particularly significant given the financial strength of the Saudi Pro League, where clubs have continued to make major investments in established international stars.
However, Galatasaray’s latest stance suggests that money alone may not be enough to convince them to surrender Osimhen.
Salah overtakes Osimhen as Turkey’s highest-paid player
While Osimhen remains one of the biggest stars in Turkish football, he has recently lost his status as the league’s highest-paid player following Mohamed Salah’s arrival.
Salah is reportedly earning €23.13 million per year, placing him above Osimhen, whose reported annual salary stands at €20 million.
Despite the change at the top of the salary rankings, Osimhen’s importance to Galatasaray has not diminished.
The club remain focused on defending their Super Lig crown, with Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor expected to provide strong competition this season.
For now, Galatasaray’s message to Al Hilal is unmistakable, Osimhen remains a key part of their plans, and they have no desire to let their prized striker leave.
