Melville United AFC have officially confirmed the signing of New Zealand defender Sham Sataiya Chetty ahead of the new campaign, with the club strengthening its squad through the addition of the experienced right-back.
Chetty joins Melville United following previous spells with Tauranga City United and Manukau City, while also bringing overseas experience after his time in Portugal with Atlético Clube Marinhense.
The Tauranga-born right-back arrives at Gower Park with a wealth of both domestic and international experience, having previously refined his craft during stints with Manukau City. His journey in football began within the youth system at Hamilton Wanderers, where he laid the foundational skills that eventually propelled him into the senior ranks of New Zealand football and beyond.
