With fewer than 100 days until the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, organizers have officially unveiled the uniforms for the event’s workforce. In a major announcement, the Games’ thousands of volunteers have been officially titled ‘Legends’, a name inspired by the city’s rich culture and its mythical mascot, Finnie the unicorn.
Produced by official provider Trespass, the uniforms were debuted to over 2,000 volunteers at a training launch held at the SEC Armadillo.
The uniform collection features six unique items designed to handle the Scottish summer, incorporating recycled materials and a bespoke Glasgow 2026 tartan. To ensure clear identification across the city, a color-coded system has been implemented.

Legends (Volunteers): High-visibility pink sleeves and accents.
Technical Officials: Distinguished by purple.
Glasgow 2026 Staff: Identified by teal.
Outerwear: A packable waterproof jacket with tartan hood lining and a 100% recycled polyester softshell.
Performance Wear: Quick-dry polo shirts and flexible, movement-focused trousers.
Accessories: An adjustable cap and a 30L backpack with padded support and tartan detailing.
George Black CBE, Chair of Glasgow 2026, emphasized the human element of the event, “Glasgow is one of the greatest cities in the world for hosting major sporting events because of the people who bring them to life. ‘Legend’ is a term of admiration in Scotland and a fitting name for our volunteers. At any Games, a uniform is more than an outfit, it is an identity that unites us as one team.”
Mr. Afzal Khushi CBE of Trespass, highlighted the technical craftsmanship,
”We’ve been dedicated to the production of these uniforms for eight months. We took inspiration from our best-selling products to ensure every member of the team feels comfortable and confident. It’s special to see these designs worn by the people shaping these reimagined Games.”
Eilidh Doyle, Commonwealth Champion and Allwyn’s Games Ambassador, added:
”Athletes are hugely appreciative of the work volunteers do. These incredible uniforms will be their way of identifying a supportive face during competition. I can’t wait to see the Legends become the heartbeat of the city this summer.”

Wan Yueng, a volunteer CGA Assistant, shared the excitement from the floor:
”Seeing the uniform makes it all feel more real! I love that it’s functional, colourful, and really comfy. It’s going to be the best summer.”
The volunteer program is supported by Allwyn, operators of the National Lottery. In addition to their branding appearing on the official polo shirts, Allwyn is funding a comprehensive training program to prepare the Legends for their roles across competition venues, media hubs, and spectator zones.
