Super Falcons goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has completed a major move to Crystal Palace Women, signing a two-year contract with the newly promoted Women’s Super League side.
Crystal Palace officially announced the signing of the 21-year-old Nigeria international on Thursday, September 3, marking another important step in the young goalkeeper’s developing career.
Erhabor joins Palace after spending the 2025/26 season with Portsmouth, where she made six appearances across all competitions. The move gives the Nigerian goalkeeper an opportunity to compete at a higher level of English women’s football following her spell in the second tier.
Speaking after completing the transfer, Erhabor made it clear that the move represents a significant stage in her ambitions.
“It feels really good to be here. I’m very excited to get started,” she said. “I’m aspiring to play at the highest level, so this is a really big step in my career.”
Crystal Palace manager Jo Potter welcomed Erhabor to the club and highlighted the potential she believes the young goalkeeper possesses.
“Comfort is a promising young goalkeeper, and we are thrilled to have her here at Palace,” Potter said.
The signing comes at an important time for Palace Women, who secured promotion back to the Women’s Super League after finishing second in the Women’s Super League 2. The club is now preparing for its return to England’s top flight for the 2026/27 campaign.
For Erhabor, that creates a fresh opportunity to establish herself at the highest level of the English domestic game.
Erhabor’s route to the WSL has included several stages of development, she began her football journey in the Brighton & Hove Albion Academy before gaining senior experience through loan spells with Scottish side Hibernian and English club Plymouth Argyle.
She joined Portsmouth in July 2025 and went on to make six appearances during the 2025/26 campaign.
Born in the Netherlands and raised in England, Erhabor chose to represent Nigeria internationally.
The goalkeeper received her first senior Super Falcons call-up in February 2026 and made her Nigeria debut in a friendly against Cameroon. She was subsequently included in Nigeria’s squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Although she did not feature during Nigeria’s WAFCON campaign, being part of the tournament squad provided further exposure at international level.
The Crystal Palace move now presents Erhabor with a chance to continue her development against some of the strongest women’s teams in England.
The immediate challenge will be competing for regular playing time, but the two-year deal gives the young goalkeeper an opportunity to establish herself within a WSL environment and continue pushing for a bigger role with the Super Falcons.
Her transfer also adds to the growing number of Nigerian women’s internationals playing in England. Rofiat Imuran recently completed a move to Aston Villa Women, giving Nigerian fans another reason to follow the country’s players across the WSL.
For Erhabor, however, the focus will be on making the most of her latest opportunity.
After progressing through academy football, loan spells, Portsmouth and the Super Falcons, Crystal Palace represents another significant step in her journey, and as she put it herself, this is a really big step in her career.
