The Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, has appointed respected sports journalist and media strategist, Bayo Adegboyega, as Consultant on Media in a strategic move aimed at strengthening the Commission’s communication architecture and amplifying the profile of Nigerian sports.
The appointment underscores the NSC’s renewed commitment to enhancing public engagement, promoting transparency, and projecting the Commission’s programmes, achievements, and the success stories of Nigerian athletes across local and international media platforms.
Bayo Adegboyega brings over 14 years of extensive experience in sports journalism, broadcasting, strategic communications, public relations, and content development. His journey in sports media began in 2012 while studying at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, where his passion for sports reporting laid the foundation for a distinguished career.
Over the years, he has earned widespread recognition for his insightful reporting, innovative media strategies, and unwavering commitment to advancing sports development in Nigeria. His contributions have helped elevate the visibility of numerous sporting events, athletes, and developmental initiatives within the country’s sports ecosystem.
Speaking on the appointment, Hon. Bukola Olopade expressed confidence in Adegboyega’s capacity to drive the Commission’s media objectives and support its vision of repositioning Nigerian sports through effective storytelling and strategic communication.
