Olympique Marseille has completed the signing of Nigerian international Tochukwu Nnadi from Belgian club Zulte Waregem for a reported €6 million, making him the fourth-most expensive outgoing player in the history of the Belgian side.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder, who impressed during his first senior call-up to the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), arrives in France with high expectations following a breakthrough season in Belgium.
On his first day in Marseille, Nnadi shared his excitement with fans in a video posted by La MinuteOM, saying:
“I’m happy to be here. It’s my first day in France. I’m here to play football and fight for the team. This is my ambition here.”

Nnadi’s football journey began in Owerri, Nigeria, before moving to Bulgaria to join the Madenat Alamal Football Academy.
He later spent four years with Botev Plovdiv, before his standout performances with Zulte Waregem earned him a place in the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 AFCON.
His growth and success in Belgium captured the attention of several top European clubs, including Premier League side West Ham United, but Marseille moved swiftly to secure his services just before the winter transfer window closed.
