The Nigerian defender was brought on in the second half and featured for 38 minutes, marking his third outing across all competitions this campaign.
After going five consecutive league matches and two UEFA Champions League fixtures without playing, Onyemaechi showed hunger and focus upon his return. His performance reflected readiness to challenge for a consistent starting role under head coach José Luis Mendilibar.
