Head Coach Bankole Olowookere has invited 30 players to join the camp of Nigeria’s U17 women’s football team, the Flamingos, as they begin their preparations for the 2025 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The squad includes four goalkeepers, nine defenders, nine midfielders, and nine forwards. These players will be gearing up for the competition, which will be held from 17th October to 8th November across four venues in two Moroccan cities.
The Flamingos secured their spot in the tournament by defeating South Africa and Algeria in the qualifying series, and they are now poised to make their mark at the first-ever 24-team U17 Women’s World Cup.
The competition will take place at the Prince Héritier Moulay el-Hassan Sports Complex, Prince Moulay Abdellah Sport Complex, Al Barid Stadium, and the Mohamed VI Football Academy, all of which will host the group and knockout stages.
The invited players are expected to arrive in camp in Abuja on Sunday, 7th September, to begin their preparations.
