Animasahun: Osun Babes FC Will Prove Critics Wrong at NWFL Championship

Wole Animasahun, Head Coach of Osun Babes FC, has warned those writing off his team following the group stage draw for the 2025 NWFL Championship. The coach expressed confidence that his squad would silence any doubters with strong performances and results at the tournament.

In an exclusive interview with the team’s Media Officer, Oluwaseun Omolola, Animasahun acknowledged the strength of their opponents but insisted that Osun Babes FC is not a team to be underestimated.

“We know we are in a group with top teams that have proven themselves over the years, but Osun Babes FC is no pushover,” said Animasahun. “Last year, we narrowly missed out on the playoffs, but we are back this year with a clear focus to redeem ourselves. We won’t repeat the same mistakes.”

The coach further emphasized his team’s determination, adding: “We respect all our opponents, but we’re giving this championship everything we have. Our goal is to return to the NWFL Premiership where we truly belong.”

Animasahun assured that his players are in peak condition and mentally prepared for the challenge ahead. “Every match is a final, and the players understand that. They are fully ready for the task.”

Osun Babes FC has been drawn in Group B2, where they will face Ghetto Tigers, Moje Queens, Delta Babes, and Imo Strikers FC. While the group games commence on 13th September 2025, Osun Babes will begin their campaign on 15th September against Imo Strikers FC at Abiriba Stadium, Abia State.
