Executive Director of Operation and Sports Development at the Edo State Sports Commission, Mrs Sabina Chikere, has congratulated Moses Aduku, the head coach of Edo Queens, on his appointment as the new head coach of the Falconets, Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team.
The announcement came following the endorsement by the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Thursday, July 24, 2025, acting on the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
Aduku, who served as assistant coach during the Falconets’ quarter-final run at the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica, now steps into the top job and will begin his new role with a World Cup qualifying fixture against Rwanda in September 2025.

In her congratulatory message, Sabina Chikere expressed joy over Aduku’s steady rise and praised his impact at Edo Queens since joining the club in 2022.
“This is good news, and I’m so happy for him. I remember how convinced we were to bring him to our team in 2022 the rest has been fantastic history,” Chikere said.
“This appointment underscores his potential to do even greater work at a national level, and the U-20 girls are in safe hands. I’m convinced he will do great things, just like he did in 2022.”
“I wish him success in office and hope that success also rubs off on Edo Queens in the coming season.”
A former Flying Eagles and Olympic Eagles player, Aduku has also coached Bayelsa Queens and Heartland Queens, gaining a reputation for tactical discipline and player development.
Aduku is expected to officially resume duty on Sunday, July 27, 2025.
