Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach, Fatai Amoo has confirmed the return of four former players to their fold for the on-going Nigeria Professional Football League.
The quartet returnees are Ajani Ibrahim (Al-Faisaly, Jordan), Wasiu Jimoh (FC IfeanyiUbah), Nonso Ogbonna (Remo Stars) and Tayo Adebogun (Enyimba).
Amoo said the foursome is qualities that will help the Ibadan landlords in their quest for relevance in the on-going top-flight. “We have actually registered four quality players for the remainder of the on-going league season.
“Incidentally, the four players are returnees namely Ajani Ibrahim, Wasiu Jimoh, Nonso Ogbonna and Tayo Adebogun. “They are qualities and will be tremendous help in our quest to excel in the on-going top-flight.
“The additions are certain to make the old players to sit up and show more commitment and seriousness to their work. “Aside there will be healthy competition which will ultimately up performance as well as improve our lot on the log.
“The new players are mainly attackers and midfielders as we are very comfortable in the back-line and goalkeeping,” said the former Sunshine Stars coach. Oluyole Warriors ended the first stanza campaign on the 15th spot in the 20-team top-flight on 22 points 13 behind league leaders, Plateau United.
