Enyimba FC 1 – 1 MFM


Enyimba avoided what would have been two straight losses as they grabbed a late goal to hold MFM to a 1-1 draw in a week 13 Nigeria Professional Football League clash at the UJ Esuene Stadium on Saturday.

MFM looked to be heading for a surprise win in a game played on a very bad UJ Esuene pitch when they took the lead on 23 minutes through Stephen Odey with his eighth goal of the season.
But in the 81st minute, Ibrahim Mustapha made sure Enyimba avoided defeat as he made it 1-1. It was a missed opportunity for MFM as a win against Enyimba would have temporarily taken them to second in the league and on 22 points same as leaders Plateau United.


Plateau United 2-0 Kano Pillars 


Plateau United maintained their leadership of the Nigeria Professional Football League table after an impressive 2-0 win against Kano Pillars at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Sunday.
A goal in each half from Ibeh Johnson and Elisha Golbe in the 15th and 55th minutes sealed the win for Plateau United.
The victory was Plateau’s sixth at the Rwang Pam Stadium this season, it was Pillars’ first defeat in their last six games, after three wins and two draws. 


Remo Stars 3-0 ABS 


Fatai Osho recorded his first win after six games as struggling Remo Stars beat ABS 3-0 to deny the Ilorin-based club back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Remo’s three goals were scored by Ekene Awazie, Salefu Ochowechi and Saheed Lasisi in the seventh, 61st and 87th minutes respectively.
 The win takes Remo off the bottom of the log above Wikki Tourists who are not in action due to Enugu Rangers’ CAF Champions League assignment.


Gombe United 1-1 Shooting Stars 


Shooting Stars of Ibadan snatched a late goal to hold hosts Gombe to a 1-1 draw.
Samuel Agba scored from the penalty spot to give the home side a lead before Mbakwe equalised for 3SC.


Abia Warriors 2-1 Lobi Stars 


Abia Warriors edged Lobi Stars 2-1.
Anthony Okemmiri gave Abia Warriors the lead. Kingsley Eduwo scored to equalised for Lobi before Chinedu James scored the winner for the home team.


Nasarawa United 2-0 IfeanyiUbah 


IfeanyiUbah lost 2-0 away to Nasarawa United.
Adamu Hassan penalty kick and Aminu Kadir gave Nasarawa crucial home win against the visiting side.


El Kanemi 2-0 Niger Tornadoes 


El Kanemi Warriors stretched their winning run at the El-Kanemi Stadium to 20 games and kept pace with leaders Plateau United at the top of the log following a 2-0 win against Niger Tornadoes.
Samuel Mathias and Ibrahim Babangida were the scorers for El-Kanemi.  Mathias opened the scoring in the 35th minute before Babangida netted the second on 56 minutes. 


Akwa United 3-1 Sunshine Stars 


Akwa United beat visiting Sunshine Stars 3-2.
Musa Newman’s goal and Ubong Friday’s brace gave the home team a victory over the away team.
Bala Yahuza scored Sunshine goal.
