Stalemate In Adamasingba As Victor Mbaoma Scored His Fifth Goal Of The Season

Victor Mbaoma’s 50th minute goal against Shooting Stars secured a point for the Sky Blue Stars on the road in Match Day 10 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in Ibadan and Mbaoma has also scored 5goals against 5 different opponents this season in the league.

Both teams started on a bright note in the early minutes of the game before Jide Apena had an early chance to put the home side ahead but Walbe David was too alert to deny him.

Awazie Ekene had a brilliant chance to give the Sky Blue Stars the lead after Victor Mbaoma and Ganda Samuel combined well but his shot was too weak to give the visitors the lead.

In the 12th minute, Awazie Ekene had another chance to go ahead  but plays the ball just wide to maintain the scoreline.

Walbe David was exceptional for the Sky Blue Stars as he denies promise Ebiaku’s free kick and a rebound from Jide Apena.

Just after the missed opportunity, Sunday Falaye scored after going pass an offside trap to dribble Ewelike Edozie to give the Oluyole Warriors the lead.

Minutes before half time, Awazie Ekene had another chance to level up for the Sky Blue Stars but goalkeeper Adamu Abubakar got hold of the ball brilliantly.

In the 49th minute, the referee disallowed a good goal scored by Oche Salefu after he felt there was an infringement on Shooting Stars goalkeeper, Adamu Abubakar and Olabisi Samuel.

Shortly after the disallowed, Victor Mbaoma scored his 5th goal of the season with a shot that went underneath Adamu Abubakar.

Both teams continued to mount pressure on each other and had couple of chances saved brilliantly to leave both sides with a point each.
