Kenneth Omeruo training with Chelsea team
Nigeria International Kenneth Omeruo is among the list of 35 names loaned out by English Premier League giants Chelsea FC but it is surprising to note that a starter for the Super Eagles of Nigeria is just worth 500,000 pounds.
In August 2016, Omeruo signed a one-year contract extension with Chelsea and returned to Turkey on loan to join recently-promoted Alanyaspor.
Omeruo who won the 2013 AFCON with the then Stephen Keshi led Super Eagles team has spent all his time at Chelsea out of loan and the chances of himegetting to play for Chelsea FC is slim.
He currently plays for Turkish club Alanyaspo after spending the last three years on loan at ADO Den Haag, Middlesbrough and Kasımpaşa. His starting place at the Super Eagles team is also at stake, he played as a Right back last time out against Algeria, despite that , Manager Gernot Rohr doesn’t seem happy with his performance and his currenly looking for a perfect right back.
Although in-form Super Eagles winger Victor Moses was also on a three year wilderness before joining up with Manager Anthonio Conte who has brought out the best in him.
Another Nigerian who is on the loan record book of Chelsea FC, Tammy Abraham has impressed at Bristol City, he has scored 15 goals for a club that is sitting 19th in the Championship.
