Turkish giants Trabzonspor have reportedly opened discussions with Lazio over a potential move for Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, with Premier League clubs Nottingham Forest and Sunderland also keeping close tabs on the 24-year-old.
According to reports, Trabzonspor has made initial contact with the Serie A side to understand the conditions surrounding a possible transfer. While talks remain at an early stage, the Turkish Super Lig club’s interest underlines Dele-Bashiru’s rising profile across Europe following his steady development in Italy.
Lazio Set €15–20 Million Valuation
Lazio are believed to have placed an asking price of between €15 million and €20 million on the Nigerian international. The valuation reflects both his growing importance within the squad and the security of his long-term contract, which runs until June 2028.
Although Dele-Bashiru’s current market value is estimated at around €6.5 million, Lazio’s higher price tag reportedly takes into account his versatility, athleticism, and ability to operate effectively across multiple midfield roles, as well as the leverage provided by his extended deal.
Premier League Clubs Monitoring Situation
Trabzonspor is not the only club showing interest. Nottingham Forest and Sunderland have also been linked with Dele-Bashiru, with both English sides understood to be monitoring his situation closely as his reputation continues to grow.

At present, negotiations are said to be exploratory, with no formal offers submitted and no agreement in place. However, the increasing number of suitors could soon place Lazio at a crossroads, either to retain a midfielder viewed as a valuable long-term asset or to consider cashing in should their valuation be met.
For Dele-Bashiru, the coming weeks could prove decisive, as interest from Turkey and England highlights his emergence as one of Nigeria’s most sought-after midfielders on the European market.
