Turkish football pundit Adnan Aybaba has weighed in on Galatasaray’s latest transfer moves, expressing surprise at the club’s high-profile acquisition of Victor Osimhen and commenting on ongoing speculation surrounding potential targets Mohamed Salah and Lionel Messi.
Speaking on Telegol, Aybaba admitted that he, like many others, doubted Galatasaray’s ability to pull off the Osimhen transfer.
Reflecting on his earlier skepticism, he said, as quoted by habersarikirmizi:
“Can you imagine Galatasaray’s squad right now? I said, ‘Galatasaray can’t buy Osimhen’s shoes,’ but they bought Osimhen. We didn’t believe it.”
Aybaba also addressed rumors linking Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah with a move to Galatasaray. Although he did not confirm any negotiations, he hinted that such a transfer might be within the realm of possibility.
“I won’t say anything about Mohamed Salah now. I’m keeping quiet — Salah can come too,” he remarked.
He further touched on speculation involving Lionel Messi, noting the international spotlight such a signing would generate.
“Messi, in particular, would be a big deal,” Aybaba said, emphasizing the global magnitude of a potential move.
Aybaba’s comments come amid a period of aggressive squad-building for Galatasaray, whose recent transfer activity has already captivated fans.
The prospect of additional marquee signings has only intensified excitement among the club’s supporters.
