Nasarawa Amazons had an impressive run in the 2025 Women’s President Federation Cup, and here’s a summary of their journey during the competition.

  • Round of 32:

The Lafia land ladies thrashed Kwara Ladies 6-0 to advance to the next round with renewed confidence.

  • In the Round of 16:

Nasarawa Amazons defeated Bayelsa Queens Football Club of Yenagoa 2-1 at the Awka Township Stadium in Anambra State, with Ojiyovwi Kesiena scoring the equalizer and Bello Amina sealing the crucial win with a header.

  • The Quarterfinals:

They dismantle Sunshine Queens of Akure 4-0, showcasing their dominance in the tournament and securing a spot in the semifinals.

  • While in the Semifinals:
    Nasarawa Amazons put up an outstanding performance to beat Edo Queens FC 2-0, and clinched a spot in this year’s Women’s final.
  • At the Finals:
    Despite a well-contested game, Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia lost to ten-time champions Rivers Angels Football Club of Port Harcourt in a penalty shootout (4-2) after the match ended 2-2 at regular time.

Throughout the tournament, the Lafia land ladies demonstrated resilience, skills, and determination, with standout performances from the likes of Kessiena, Janet, and Shobowale, who scored two crucial goals in the final against the Rivers-based female Team.

The Team’s progress was a testament to the hard work and encouragement of their coach, Christopher Danjuma Musa, and the constant support of the Chairperson of the Club, Hajiya Husseina Sulieman Nagogo, to the players at all times.
