19-year-old Nigerian striker, Hafiz Umar Ibrahim, is making waves in France with Stade de Reims.
After shining at the Viareggio tournament and turning heads with a hat-trick on trial at Chelsea, Ibrahim signed a four-year deal with Reims in August 2024. He wasted no time, scoring 9 goals in 9 matches for the B team.
He made his first-team debut in the Coupe de France, then got his Ligue 1 break. Though sent off in his league debut, he bounced back fast.
In the Coupe de France semi-final, he scored and assisted to seal Reims’ first final in 48 years. Days later, he delivered again, this time assisting in a 3–1 win over Marseille.
From selling watermelons in Kano to lighting up top-flight French football, Hafiz Ibrahim isn’t just rising, he’s roaring.
