Barcelona Manager Shows Interest in Ademola Lookman

2 Min Read

The Barcelona coach, Hansi Flick, is said to have requested the club to buy Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman, who has shone in the Italian league, Serie A.

The opportune request is to satiate the quest to reinforce their attacking line this summer before the transfer window closes.

Lookman, who plays for Atalanta, netted 20 goals in 40 appearances last season, positioning himself as a force to be reckoned with in Europe.

Flick’s pressure on Barcelona to land a deal with the Atalanta forward is rooted in his conviction of the striker’s qualities, such as intelligence, versatility, and coordination.

Reports indicate that Flick is not unmindful of Barcelona’s fiscal policies and restrictions and wants a player who can help the club double its wealth through value addition without profligacy

Lookman aligns with the budget as he is expected to be worth €30 million and reaches the final quarter of his contract with Atalanta.

There is no possibility of renewal on the horizon, and the chances of leaving Atalanta are irreversibly high hence, Barcelona is a lucky suitor for Lookman who whose monumental impact has been felt locally and globally.

With Ansu Fati’s anticipated exit this summer and Robert Lewandowski turning 37, Barcelona’s attack will need vibrancy and resuscitation, and Lookman is a strategic solution.
